5 Crucial Points for a successful pool opening:
- Open Early: Open your pool as soon as the weather warms up (around late April in Ottawa) to prevent algae growth as water reaches 60°F.
- Remove Cover Properly: Clear water and debris from the pool cover before removal to keep your pool clean and clear.
- Store Cover Safely: Clean and store the winter cover using cover cleaner to prevent it from becoming brittle or damaged.
- Maintain Water Levels: Fill the pool to 2/3 of the skimmer to support cleaning and circulation for faster maintenance.
- Add Chemicals: Use Perfect Pools’ opening kit that includes shock, algaecide, and pH balancer for a quick and efficient pool opening.

ABOVE GROUND POOL OPENING PRICING AND INFORMATION
Bronze Above Ground Opening – $199.99 – 1 VISIT
(No cover, water is at least middle of skimmer)
- Remove all winterizing plugs and accessories.
- Reinstall baskets, plugs, ladders, rails,
and return fittings. - Reconnect filter, pump, heater, and chlorinators.
- Start equipment and do a maintenance check on
filtering system
****WATER LEVEL MUST BE AT LEAST MIDDLE OF SKIMMER BEFORE TECHNICIANS ARRIVAL TO PROPERLY START SYSTEM
Silver Above Ground Opening – $299.99 – 1 VISIT
We remove the cover from the pool. Discharge cover water to street or safely away. Water level will most likely not be high enough to continually run but a “cheater hose” will be used to attempt to start system and make sure everything is running properly.
- Remove all winterizing plugs and accessories.
- Reinstall baskets, plugs, ladders, rails,
and return fittings. - Reconnect filter, pump, heater, and chlorinators.
- Remove, clean and fold cover
- Start equipment and do a maintenance check on
filtering system with a cheater hose.
Gold Above Ground Opening – $424.99 2 VISITS
We remove the cover from the pool. Discharge cover water to street or safely away. Water level will most likely not be high enough to start, Technicians will come back to start when water level is at the middle of the skimmer.
- Remove all winterizing plugs and accessories.
- Reinstall baskets, plugs, ladders, rails,
and return fittings. - Reconnect filter, pump, heater, and chlorinators.
- Remove, clean and fold cover
- Start equipment and do a maintenance check on
filtering system when pool is at proper level.
**** We do not go in pools to install ladders or stairs. We will attempt to install if possible. *****
**** Pool parts that are broken or missing will be replaced at homeowner’s expense if necessary
